Senior Software Engineer SmartTV

Full-time Houston TX or Remote $185 - $200K Based on Experience.

Our client, Media Conglomerate company is seeking a talented, technical and product -aware engineer who will build the best of a kind architecture for their very popular platform. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a part of our small, high-performance team, which is heavily focused on delivering an unmatchable user experience. You will report to the Program Manager and work alongside an experienced and close-knit agile team to delight our customers.

Responsibilities:

Building dynamic web based Smart TV applications with JavaScript frameworks

Create prototypes of new ideas and explore new technologies on the forefront of SmartTV platforms

Your engineering team is at the center of the action and you will be responsible for creating unmatched user experience.

Tackle hard and interesting problems at scale, and create an impact within an entrepreneurial environment

Must be able to understand development methodologies, testing practices, and tools and knowing when to apply each method to achieve the desired outcomes

Propose design and architectural patterns and know when to apply them

Experience and Competencies:

Professional experience in frontend development using JavaScript, Angular, Node JS, React-based Web Applications.

Proficient in HTML5 and JavaScript.

Experience in Smart-TV platforms like Tizen, webOS is a big plus.

Experience in STB or Dongle is plus.

Experience in Video and media based development projects (DRM, OVPs, Advertising, Analytics) is plus.

Exposure to Agile, Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development is a plus
